Global Thread Supply India (GTSI) is a division of Madura Coats Limited and is responsible for implementing the Global Thread Supply strategy of the Coats plc Group in India. This division has spinning and twisting mills located in Madurai, Tuticorin and Ambasamudram. In addition to operating these mills to exacting global standards, the division is also involved with outsourcing of grey thread to bridge the gap between demand and internally available supply. With its state-of-the-art technology and facilities Global Thread Supply India produces cotton, staple spun polyester, poly poly core spun and poly cotton core spun grey thread to meet stringent Coats specifications. GTSI is the largest producer of spun polyester thread within Coats and supplies Coats Companies in India, Indonesia, Bangladesh, Srilanka, Malaysia, Egypt, Chile, Peru, S.Africa, France, Poland, Turkey and Morocco.

Product Range - GTSI produces cotton thread, staple spun polyester threads, and core spun threads for various sewing and non-sewing applications.

Cotton Threads: Cotton threads are produced for sewing and non-sewing end uses (like kite flying & craft). These are produced by using imported cottons (viz GIZA 70, PIMA, Australian) and Indian Cottons (DCH, Shankar, LRA) depending on the end use and applications. Depending on end use, the process routed could be either combed soft thread or combed gassed. The counts offered ranges from Ne 6 to Ne 100 in various constructions of 2 ply, 3 ply, 2x2, 2x3, 3x3 etc. We offer ready package sizes ranging from 1 to 2 kgs on paper cones, on dye centers and in hank form to suit our Group Companies' requirements.

SSP Threads: Staple spun polyester threads are manufactured by using staple fibres produced to our specifications by leading fibre manufacturers of international brands like Teijin, Toray, etc. The counts offered ranges from dtex 1111 to dtex 82 in various constructions of 2 ply, 3 ply, 4 ply, 6 ply, 9 ply, etc. We offer both 'A' and 'C' qualities as per the Group's specifications. The make-up offered is 900 gms ready to dye package on multiflex/aflex dye centers.

Core Spun Treads: In order to achieve optimum strength-to-fineness .of continuous filament threads together with sewing performance and surface characteristics of spun fibre threads, GTSI produces the following two types of core spun threads: (a) polyester filament yarn covered and protected by polyester fibres (Poly Poly). (b) Polyester filament yarn covered by cotton fibres (Poly / Cotton). The count offered ranges from dtex 613 to dtex 91 in various constructions of 2 ply, 3 ply, 4 ply etc. Make up offered: 1 kg package on multiflex dye centers ready for dyeing.
